The improvement of dust and noise management is a permanent challenge in mining and mineral processing regarding either the staff as the environment.
The course has the following objectives and outcomes:
Trainees will get an overview how to assess the environmental and health situation for the own mining or processing plant, and the possibilities of improvement.

The course is a combined classroom lecture with a field trip to Erzberg (Fe-mining site).
The audience is:
Dr. Andreas Amann (57) graduated in earth sciences with specialization on Geochemistry, since 30 years working in environmental analysis, specialization in the field of air quality, court surveyor for all aspects of air pollution, contributor in European Standardisation
Marina Matic, MSc (29) graduated in environmental engineering. (University of Mining and Geology, Belgrade). Specialization on determination of vibrations caused by blasting 3 year experience in the field of surface mining in a position as teaching assistant at the University of Mining and Geology. Since 2016 works at Eurofins NUA Umwelt as a noise analysis specialist.
