The course will train the following abilities:
1 week classroom (09. - 13.11.2020)
Type of training
Continuous assessment based on in-class exercises and programming assignments.
Lectures including exercises to be solved in class.
Computer exercises with FORTRAN or MATLAB programming.
Mathematics and physics courses at BSc and MSc level equivalent.
Accommodation (room and board)
Approximate accommodation costs in Uppsala: 50 Euros per day.
Travel to Uppsala is easiest via arrival at Stockholm Arlanda airport and train or bus to Uppsala.
S+H, insurance, safety equipment and clothing
Successful admissions will be considered for a stipend to offset costs of accommodation and food, and when possible travel. As a requirement the stipends are awarded to participants that are registered for all courses within one theme. Applicants that intend only to participate in a single course (or two courses) within one theme will not be considered for stipends. There is no registration fee to participate in courses offered through I-EDDA-RS.

The courses are free of charge. In case the number of applicants is higher than the maximum number of students, participants will be selected by the course leaders.
Costs will incur for travel and accommodation (see course descriptions). Some financial support is available, provided participation in all courses within one theme. Students attending the "Entrepreneurship for Scientists" course are also eligible for financial support.
